Capt's dA Pirate Crew

I thought it would be fun to create a pirate crew member list of me dA buckos. This has NOTHING to do with the POTC FTC Crew or the VKC Crew, savvy? This is a separate thing.

Right then... if you want to join me crew, just do the following

Joining/On the Account [this be the Code of how to join!]
1) give me your position on me ship/the crew
2) tell me a piratical nickname [or nicknames] you want to be called
3) choose a signature weapon or ability

Put all of this in a comment for this journal and NUMBER YOUR ANSWERS.

Example:

1) captain
2) Suddenshot
3) poison-tipped dirks

If there's problems with what you've chosen, I'll tell ye.

Usually if ye be joinin', yer a friend and not a random person I've never met, I hope.

This journal is subject to LOTS of updates and editing so be sure to check back often!

Positions
Generally, I'd like for you to choose something standard on a ship. For example, "cook." However, ye can also spice it up, such as "Krazy Kraken Cook", savvy?
If ye want to have a totally random and non-nautical title such as "resident chocoholic" or something, that works, too.
There can be more than one person in some positions. For example, we can have lots of cooks, cabin boys/girls, gunners, etc. Savvy?
Please do not all choose one position. I do not want ten cooks and two gunners or something, savvy?
If ye want something high-ranking, ye should be a person I know rather well... makes sense, doesn't it?
Ye can choose only one position [unless ye work part-time at several jobs].

Signature Weapon/Ability/Skill/Item
Please do NOT give me something general like "sword". Ye can say something specific like "dirk", "rapier", etc., savvy? If ye say, "werewolf" or "vampire", tell me which thing ye be getting that from [ex. vampire Hellsing, Vampire Knight, or Twilight, etc.]
It need not be a real ability or weapon.
It is meant to be a signature weapon/ability/skill/item so if someone has claimed it, you may NOT choose it.
[This is part of the reason why I want very specific choices. If someone wants something similar, they can choose something slightly different if it is specific enough.]
Ye can also choose a skill, such as a specific martial art.
It has to be something I would truly allow on my ship. For example, NO MACHINE GUNS. Too outrageous.
Ye can choose a god-like power/ability if ye like. For example, Zeus's thunderbolts.
Ye may not raise people from the dead.
Ye may not generally say "immortality." Too general.
As a pirate on me crew, ye automatically are given one pistol and one cutlass. Thus, ye may NOT choose one of these as yarr signature weapon. Make yarr signature weapon special!
Ye can choose only one ability, skill, item, or weapon.
I realize that this topic might get the most questions.

06/30: Ye should now update yarr signature's crew hyperlinks because the ship's name has been decided! We now crew the Bird of Hermes, savvy? Here's why:
  bird = the freedom of the seas and the lifestyle of a pirate. It also represents the POTC trio (Jack [sparrow], Elizabeth [swann], and Will [tern]) as well as any and all other birds.
  Birds fly. Thus, the ship's name has a touch of the Flying Dutchman, savvy?
  [Blame Wikipedia if some of the following isn't accurate, savvy?] Hermes was a Greek god that was full of mischief. He was the god of commerce and trade, protector of travelers, and patron of liars, gamblers, and thieves. Oratory, wit, literature, poetry, athletics, weights and measures, inventions, and cunning are also attributed to him. In addition, Hermes was willing to aid those who were injured, was a messenger god, and invented dice, fire, and the lyre. Now let's see... mischief, thieves, commerce, trade, travel, liars, gamblers, wit, literature, lyre/poetry/music, athletics, measures, cunning, inventions, fire, health, dice... sounds rather piratical, wouldn't ye say?

"Bird of Hermes" is also a phrase from the "Hellsing Ultimate" anime.
I almost chose the Sea Jackal since it is based off Hellsing and because it just seemed to sound good. But I researched jackals and found that they are very similar to hyenas, smell funny [I think we should not smell icky, even if we're pirates], and are sometimes cowards. We are NOT going to be a cowardly crew!
I really liked the Destiny Chaser. Has a nice ring to it... but rather than chasing our destinies, can't we just create them?
The Music of the Night! I loved that one. However, it didn't seem dark enough, even with "the Night"... Good title, though. Remember that I have four unfinished fanfics. The name might make an appearance.
Journey's Call was a good contender. It had that special mystical feeling, ye know? But it wasn't dark enough, either... needed that hidden meaning, too.
The Immortal... I really liked this one, too. But it was so simple...
Black Lightning was interesting and sounded a lot like the legendary Black Pearl. However... it reminded me of the horse film Black Beauty. That was a rather randomly odd.
Jolly Dodger was fun. But it needed more ferocity!
Renegade Tune. Good, but not as strong-sounding as Music of the Night.
I'm still pondering the ship's more specific details. For now, the Bird of Hermes is simply a brig.
07/15/08: I sent out notes to every crew member today. If you did not get one for some odd reason, tell me right away!
