(I'm starting to write this at 11:33pm my time, but I might not finish 'til past midnight... this still be my TLAPD journal, though!)

So... according to one of my roommates, when I try to Talk Like a Pirate, I sound like a mix of Barbossa, Davy Jones, Will, and a little bit of Jack.... and then the obligatory Marik Ishtar. Kind of terrifying yet AWEsome. Despite the fact that I haven't actually spoken much Pirate in the past few ITLAPDs, I discovered, today, that I CAN actually do the harsh film pirate voice--with all the AAARRR!s and MAAAATEYs--but I need to expand my vocabulary. I've forgotten too many fancyfun terms, and the new list on the POTC/Jerry Bruckheimer Facebook page has words I've never even seen before. o____O;;

Anyhow... school is starting up for me again. Just thought ye readers should be warned...
but I have made some progress with PLF.
I wrote some of Chapter 15 a couple of months past (as part of my "gaaaah, I am sick of classes, I AM WRITING FANFIC IN CLASS NAAAO!!"), but I haven't figured out how to end the chapter. YET.
What I have right now is "okay" to me... but the ending doesn't taste right. So I'm still thinking that through.

I have also been thinking of ... really, really far-off parts of PLF. Like, what happens 10 or 20 years from where the story is now?
I suppose it's not very progressive to think of things like that when I'm still in Chapter 15, but... hey, my brain needs to work its "superfunplotting" time. I can't always help it.

So... I haven't updated my journal in over a year, and I haven't uploaded a deviation in about the same time...
but I haven't forgotten you.
After all, what kind of fanfic called "Pirates Live Forever" would just... die? -___-;; Kind of contradictory...

I do have to admit that I have been afraid of PLF.
Afraid of ... the rest of the chapters not being good enough. Not being able to make you hang on to the edge of your seat 'til the next chapter comes out, not written in the same writing style that I had three years ago (have I changed too much? but to change is to grow...), not being realistic.
In the three years that have passed, I would have liked to gather--no, learn--(I've "gathered" the sources but not had time to LEARN it all) as much information as possible to make PLF partly or mostly historically accurate... but I can't say that I have learned much more since I left off. Maybe I've learned more about the world... so it can be more realistic in that sense... even though I haven't got facts down, like "in 1748, X happened, so this affected the sugar supply of Y, making rum taste like Z in N country" and so on.

Maybe it doesn't matter. I dunno; it's mattered a lot to me, but I guess it would be best on all ends if I didn't think of that as a limitation.
. . .
I'll be back again. Your captain is alive.

Obligatory Note: I fiddle with costuming, traditional drawing, woodworking, photography, languages, digital art, literature, and film; but I have made a new dA account for all of that.
This older account (~CaptTreasureTroveTi) will remain here with all the art that I have uploaded.
Also, I will use this account to finish the fanfics that I have started. If you want more PLF, keep watching. :salute:
If you want to add my new dA (some of you already have), email me at capttreasuretroveti @ gmail dot com and I can give you the username. Please include your dA username in the email, too.

Glad you're alive. I'm not worried about the when. You know when your fanfic is at its best, so don't rush anything. Got it?
